В последние дни лета, студенты прибывают в школу, расселяются в комнаты, знакомятся с Академией, и даже не подозревают, что преподавательский состав уже приготовил для них проверку, своего рода экзамен, чтобы узнать, кто, и на что способен. По прибытию в Эквилибриум, некоторым ученикам были введены вакцины, с пояснением, что это поможет их иммунной системе. Для чего вакцина? Да просто решили проверить на них оставшийся уцелевший материал уничтоженной лаборатории… Да, средство было восстановлено по памяти и расчеты могут быть не верны, да и вообще, делалось это в очень сжатые сроки…

Эгест славиться своими учёными и сферами их работы. Некоторые исследования слишком важны и опасны, некоторые компоненты приходиться доставлять простыми перевозками под конвоем. Эквелибриум, фигурирует в этом деле совсем крайним боком. Школа просто является переправочным пунктом, местом остановки на пару часов и проверки сохранности груза. По халатности одного из охранников происходит разгерметизация контейнера, и объект (химера, смотрим бестиарий) исследований благополучно освобождается. В нашем случае груз достаточно активно бегает, обучается и умеет нападать. В общем, речь пойдет о существе выведенном искусственно и разработанном для ведения подрывных действий в тылу врага, способное быстро обучаться и приравненное к полу разумным тварям. С разбуянившейся зверюшкой придётся иметь дело персоналу магической школы.
